We Designed a Life Integrated with Nature
At Urla Summer House, we chose to make the boundaries between indoor and outdoor
spaces as transparent as possible. While spreading daylight to every corner of the house
with its open-plan setup and large floor-to-ceiling windows, we directly connected all
living spaces with the garden. Our aim was not to create a quiet atmosphere that
competes with the nature of Urla, but one that breathes with it and gains value over the
years.
Life Flow Designed with Refined Details
We deepened the architectural character of the house with fine touches that spread
throughout the design. While adding a sculptural form to the space with the arched
niche detail we designed in the bedroom, we reinforced the feeling of freedom by
combining the ceiling height of 320 cm with the controlled guidance of daylight. We
presented Urla Summer House not just as a residence, but as an exclusive living
experience that soothes the soul and connects with time.
The meeting of the serene spirit of the Aegean with an award-winning design
We identified the characteristic landscape of Urla and the simple lifestyle of the Aegean
as our greatest sources of inspiration during the design process of this villa. We
combined the naturalness of coastal life with a modern and timeless interior
architectural approach. With the innovative solutions we offered while it was still in the
design phase, our project was awarded the Bronze Award at the prestigious Italy-based
2025 A' Design Award & Competition.
Aegean Breeze in the Bathroom: A Botanical Rhythm
By carrying the textural language used throughout the house into the bathroom design,
we designed this space not only as a functional area but also as a serene sanctuary. We
balanced the peaceful green ceramics on the walls with microcement, marble-textured
countertops, and the natural wood that dominates the entire project. With spacious
areas and mirrors that add depth to the space, we chose to turn daily routines into
moments of pleasure.
We Chose Quiet But Characterful Textures
We established the balance between simplicity and warmth with natural materials that
stand the test of time. By combining microcement and natural wood textures on the
floors with the white solid beams on the ceilings, we gave the space a calm rhythm
unique to coastal towns. With soft-textured linen fabrics and carefully selected surface
finishes, we aimed to reflect the character of the place without shouting loudly, but by
making you feel it.
